Lake Gaston Waterfront Living

MACON, NC

This Lake Gaston Waterfront Living renovation consisted of removing the existing staircase to completely open up the floor plan and create expansive views of the lake. With a small addition to the front of the home, the architect allowed the narrow kitchen and tiny pantry to be expanded while including the addition of a large laundry space. By changing the roofline, the architect was able to add transom windows which created a plentitude of natural light while extending the view to the sky and treeline. The new roofline also provided ample view of Lake Gaston from the loft above.

Interiors & Exteriors

This traditional home has been transformed from a bulky builder-grade design into a thoughtfully curated bespoke retreat. The interiors feature sleek modern lines, rich, contrasting colors against crisp whites, and a seamlessly integrated wine and beverage center within the great room. Earthy yet modern tones in the bathrooms add a grounded sophistication, completing the home's harmonious blend of tradition and contemporary elegance.
