Ms. Christine, principal architect and chief executive officer of Dawn Christine, Architect PLLC, has dedicated over 20 years to the field of architecture, more than 10 of which have been leading her own firm. Specializing in high-design projects, she focuses on architectural endeavors that incorporate artistry, intrigue and creativity. She aims to avoid mundane projects, instead taking on residential and commercial endeavors that demand significant creativity.

In her role at Dawn Christine, Architect PLLC, Ms. Christine oversees business operations, manages finances, leads project management, inspires the company's direction, nurtures business development initiatives and liaises with clients, builders and engineers. Reflecting on her career, she believes her greatest accomplishment is creating a work environment where people feel comfortable and have a strong work-life balance. This approach was born out of her experience as a single mother balancing work and family responsibilities. She has made it a priority to offer flexibility in work hours and encourage a healthy work-life balance for her staff.

Ms. Christine's career began at Meg McLaurin AIA in 2002, where she worked as an architect for 10 years. During this time, she honed her skills in high-design projects and developed a passion for creating spaces that capture spectacular moments in life and space.

Academically, Ms. Christine holds a Master of Architecture from North Carolina State University and a bachelor’s degree in design architecture from the University of Florida. Her senior academic thesis focused on the intersection of architecture and the spatial experience of art, laying the foundation for her unique approach to architectural design. Complementing her formal education, she is also certified in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design by the USGBC Triangle Chapter.

Ms. Christine attributes her success to her ability to engage clients and secure projects. She emphasizes that while designing is important, effectively connecting with clients and winning projects is crucial for success in the business of architecture.

Beyond her professional achievements, Ms. Christine has undertaken several civic and personal projects. She is actively involved with Calvary Chapel Cary and is also in the process of launching a YouTube channel called Design Talk with her daughters, which will cover architectural travel, culinary art and the design process. Furthermore, she is laying the groundwork for a Cross-Pacific design group in collaboration with a sister firm in New Zealand.

In her personal life, Ms. Christine enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. She plans to expand her office over the next few years, focusing on growing the Florida office due to her personal connection to the state. Her ultimate goal is to work on iconic large-scale modern projects like a city opera house.
